Press Release Body: March 25, 2008 - The Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA)
Special Agent Sharon Maloney will identify how improperly handled hazardous
materials contributed to several recent airline accidents at a workshop on April 9,
2008 at the Indianapolis Marriott East. She will also discuss the Agency's

The presentation is part of an IATA/IMO training course offered by Environmental
Resource Center that satisfies the requirement for personnel who ship hazardous
materials by air or water. They must receive training mandated by the International
Air Transportation Association (IATA) and International Maritime Organization (IMO)
every two years. Ms. Maloney will identify recent enforcement actions and identify
the critical dangerous goods that, if mishandled, could cause an air disaster. The
goal of the workshop is to improve safety and reduce incidents when hazardous
materials are offered for transportation by air or water.

Environmental Resource Center, the leading provider of environmental and safety

April 9. The class begins at 8 am and ends at 5 pm.
